The Calgary Flames already miss Theoren Fleury.

Playing their first game without their all-time leading scorer, the Flames lost to San Jose, 2-1, Monday night at Calgary.

Fleury was dealt to Colorado on Sunday.

The Sharks, getting two goals from defenseman Bill Houlder, ended a seven-game winless streak and lead the Flames by four points in the race for the Western Conference’s final playoff spot.

Edmonton 4, Colorado 3--Fleury did his part for the Avalanche at Denver but the Oilers hung on to win. Fleury scored the Avalanche’s first goal at 6:57 of the final period and led a flurry in which Colorado scored twice more.
