Pac-10 Officials Reprimanded
Officials working the Arizona State-California game Saturday mistakenly gave the ball to California after a double technical foul with 22 seconds left in a game the Bears won, 78-73, the Pacific 10 Conference said Monday.
The officials--Jerry White, Steve Wilson and George Arredondo--were reprimanded by the league and will not officiate Pac-10 games in November.
Guard Greg Minor was reinstated to the Cal State Northridge basketball team, but forward Rico Harris was not because he did not show up for a meeting with Coach Bobby Braswell. Minor, the team’s leading three-point shooter, and Harris, the leading rebounder, were suspended for two games last week for breaking team rules.
Wimp Sanderson resigned as coach at Arkansas-Little Rock, saying it was time to give the program to “some other guy.”
