The Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform selections from Stravinsky’s the Firebird Suite and Kalinnikov’s Symphony No. 1 at an Orange County High School of the Arts concert Sunday. The school’s Jazz Combo also will perform.
The Youth Orchestra, led by music director Elizabeth Stoyanovich, has been in residence at the school since 1993. The teenage musicians have coaching sessions with the Pacific Symphony and master classes with visiting musicians, the school’s spokesperson said.
The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Margaret A. Webb Theatre on campus, 3591 Cerritos Ave. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students. Information or to charge tickets: (562) 596-1435 or (714) 536-8597.
