The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will perform Saturday in Glendale. Led by Jeffrey Kahane, the ensemble will perform pieces by Mozart, Haydn and Edgar Meyer. Soloists will include violinist Margaret Batjer, violist Roland Kato, cellist Carter Brey and doublebassist Edgar Meyer, performing his own composition.

Choral Music British conductor Sir David Willcocks will direct the Los Robles Master Chorale in concert Sunday in Granada Hills. Willcocks began his musical training as a chorister in his teens at Westminster Abbey. He was director of music at King’s College at Cambridge University for 17 years. Later, he was director of the Royal College of Music and the Bach Choir. Throughout the years, Willcocks has made numerous recordings with those ensembles, as well as leading orchestras. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1977. Sunday’s program will feature selected English choral works.

The Topanga Symphony will perform Sunday afternoon in Topanga, directed by Jerome Kessler. The concert will include works by Bach, Faure, Mozart and Wranitzy. Soloists will be Pamela Goldsmith and Jennie Hanson, both on viola.
