The Philadelphia Flyers obtained right wing Mark Recchi from the Montreal Canadiens for right-winger Dainius Zubrus and two draft choices. The Canadiens will get the Flyers’ second-round pick in 1999 or 2000 as well as either a seventh-round pick in 1999 or a sixth-rounder in 2000.

Recchi, 31, was the Canadiens’ scoring leader with 47 points, but has only 12 goals this season. Zubrus, 20, has three goals and five assists in 63 games this season.

Recchi is returning to Philadelphia. He played portions of four seasons for the Flyers, leading the team in scoring in each of his two full seasons. In 1991-92 and 1994-95, Recchi had 105 goals and 157 assists for 262 points and 171 penalty minutes in 200 games.

The Vancouver Canucks have lost left wing Todd Bertuzzi for the rest of the season because of a torn ligament in his left knee suffered during Friday’s game against Calgary.

Bertuzzi, 24, started his first full season with Vancouver with four goals and two assists in nine games. But he missed 31 games because of a fractured left tibia, and had played in 32 games before suffering his second major injury in five months.
