Anaheim Woman, 31, Driving Son to School, Killed in Car Accident
An Anaheim woman driving her 12-year-old son to school early Thursday died when their car was broadsided by a sport utility vehicle, police said.
Hilda Adan, 31, suffered massive internal injuries in the crash and was transported to Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, authorities said, where she was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m. Adan’s son was not injured.
Police said a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a Garden Grove woman was headed south on Euclid Street when it apparently struck Adan’s 1986 Ford Thunderbird as it headed east on Crone Avenue.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, and the driver of the Tahoe was not cited Thursday. An investigation of the incident is continuing, police said.
