Share

A storm from the Gulf of Alaska moved over Ventura County early Thursday and dropped nearly a quarter-inch of rain in several communities.

Precipitation measured 0.24 of an inch in Port Hueneme and Casitas Dam, while 0.20 of an inch fell in Ventura and Oxnard, according to data from the Ventura County Flood Control District.

“We’re almost in the middle of March. It’s still wintertime as far as Mother Nature is concerned,” said meteorologist Bill Hoffer of the National Weather Service office in Oxnard.
