Orange County singers in grades nine through 12 will compete in the 15th annual Rotary Singing Competition, Saturday and Sunday at the UCI Concert Hall. Semifinals will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The finals, which are free and open to the public, will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Pacific Youth Chorale, Fullerton University Singers and Pacific Symphony Institute Orchestra will perform a free concert Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Pacific Symphony assistant conductor Elizabeth Stoyanovich will conduct the orchestra in Copland’s “An Outdoor Overture” and the Symphonic Dances from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story.” Pacific Chorale music director John Alexander will conduct the groups in Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem.” Information: (714) 662-2345.
