The treacherous roads of the Angeles National Forest claimed another life Saturday night, only hours after the body of another victim was found.

Jennifer Folden, 25, of Panorama City died in an accident on California 14, a mile south of Vista Point.

The accident was reported at 10:48 p.m.

Officer Todd Powers of the California Highway Patrol said Folden’s vehicle ran off the road and fell 75 to 100 feet, trapping her inside.

Folden was dead when rescuers arrived a short time later, he said.

Earlier in the day, searchers found the body of a 58-year-old Northridge man who also died when his car left the road.

Authorities declined to release his name pending notification of kin. They had been looking for Richard White, who was reported missing by his employer about 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

At about 4:30 p.m., Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies spotted crushed brush along the Santa Clara Divide truck trail, just west of Little Tujunga Road. With the help of a helicopter crew, they determined that a car had gone over the side of the road and plunged down the 250-foot embankment.

The car rolled over several times, and the body was found about 100 feet from the wreckage.
