A city consultant hired to research historic properties has identified 60 buildings that could warrant historical designation. Researchers used libraries, building records, maps and aerial photographs and drove every street for their study. Researchers also have recommended that the City Council consider an ordinance creating a rating system for the historical properties. They also are putting together a directory of the properties with addresses and photographs that also should be available in May.
