English funk band Jamiroquai returns with a follow-up to its breakthrough 1996 album “Travelling Without Moving,” with “Synkronized,” due from the Work Group label on June 8. A U.S. tour starts in early July. . . . Patti Smith, who made just one album between 1978 and 1996, is set to record her third in less than four years. She’ll be working with producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies) for a planned August release. . . . Susanna Hoffs is starting on a new album, and is talking to her former Bangles mates about a reunion. They’ve met a few times for songwriting sessions in recent months. . . .
