A dispute between neighbors and school officials over the proposed expansion of Lutheran High School of Orange County will resume at a City Council meeting tonight. Council members are set to decide whether the school can handle the parking overflow that would accompany more students.

Neighbors said the school cannot accommodate the present number of cars, but the city gave Lutheran High two weeks to prove it can bring parking under control. The planned expansion at the site, at 2222 N. Santiago Blvd., would double classroom space and phase in an increase of students from 682 to 950.

The public hearing on the expansion begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave. The council’s regular meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. at the same address. Information: (714) 744-5500.
