DiTech Funding Corp., one of Orange County’s largest mortgage lenders, will be moving its corporate offices next month from Irvine to Costa Mesa. The mortgage company, which agreed to be acquired earlier this week by GMAC Mortgage Co., will lease four floors of an office tower at 3200 Park Center Drive.

The $24-million lease for 100,000 square feet runs for seven years. It’s one of the largest agreements on a square-foot basis signed in the John Wayne Airport/South Coast Plaza area in the past five years, said Jerry Holdner, research manager at Grubb & Ellis.

The office tower at 3200 Park Center, part of the 2 Town Center office/retail development near South Coast Plaza, will be 96% occupied when DiTech’s 700 employees move in, said Peter Johnston, a partner of Los Angeles-based CommonWealth Partners, which recently purchased the complex.
