Three Garden Grove Unified School District students finished in the top six among 120 contestants in the 36th annual Scripps-Howard Orange County Spelling Competition earlier this month. Andrea Sulyanto of Alamitos Intermediate School earned runner-up honors, Duc Dinh of Walton Intermediate School was third and Lucy Tran, also of Alamitos, finished sixth. The students were awarded trophies and cash prizes ranging from $100 to $250.
