Robert L. Fierro; Former Insurance Broker
Camarillo resident Robert L. Fierro died Thursday after going into cardiac arrest. He was 68.
Fierro was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Clint, Texas. He was a 46-year Ventura County resident after relocating in 1953 from El Paso, Texas.
Fierro had served in the armed forces and worked as an insurance broker.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Fierro of Camarillo and Charles Fierro of Tahoka, Texas; two daughters, Norma Roberts and Diane Lang, both of Camarillo; his former wife of 45 years, Rose P. Fierro of Camarillo; his mother, Maria Fierro of El Paso; two brothers, Joseph Fierro of El Paso and Thomas Fierro of Paradise, Calif.; a sister, Joy Rowden of El Paso; several grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation on Los Angeles.
