The employer of one of the victims of a murder-suicide that claimed four members of a Hyde Park family has established a fund for the two surviving children.

Police said 15-year-old Renzo Alvarado shot his parents, Rudolfo Alvarado, 51, and Eva Veronica Diaz Alvarado Gonzalez, 36, and his brother, Victor, 4, before turning the gun on himself in the family’s apartment on April 27.

Two other children, a boy, 16, and a girl, 10, had left the apartment at 6 a.m. and discovered the bodies when they returned home about 9 a.m. Investigators believe Renzo and his father had argued about the boy’s use of marijuana.
