Choreographer Eliot Feld’s new company, Ballet Tech, will make its first West Coast appearance in October to kick off the 1999-2000 Contemporary Dance Series sponsored by the Irvine Barclay Theatre.

The company, created in 1997 after the distinguished American choreographer dissolved his long-term Feld Ballet company, will appear Oct. 22-23 at the Irvine theater with a program to be announced.

Ballet Tech is made up of graduates of Feld’s tuition-free dance school. Dancers are recruited from the New York City public school system.
