2 Surfers Found in Malibu May Be Suicides
Two surfers found shot dead in a Malibu parking lot were the apparent victims of a double suicide, sheriff’s investigators said Thursday.
A class of astronomy students from nearby Pepperdine University discovered the bodies at 8 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot off North Corral Canyon Road. One victim was seated inside a van. The other was found on a chair outside the vehicle.
Both men had been shot once in the upper body, police said. Authorities recovered two revolvers at the scene.
Police withheld the identity of the victims pending notification of next-of-kin.
