The National Assn. of Letter Carriers is conducting the “world’s largest food drive” on Saturday. About 300,000 letter carriers in 10,000 cities will pick up the donated nonperishable food as they pick up and deliver the mail. The food will be shipped to area charities for distribution to those in need. Residents wishing to contribute should set out items by their mailboxes Saturday morning.
