Parker Tops Lake Elsinore

Brandon Parker was perfect through 5 1/3 innings before giving up a double and Lancaster went on to defeat host Lake Elsinore, 6-2, on Wednesday night. Parker (4-0) went seven innings, giving up five hits and both runs.

Jose Moreno had two hits and two runs batted in and Greg Connors had two hits and an RBI for the JetHawks, who are 13-21. The Storm is 15-18.

Triple A--Andrew Lorraine (Hart High) of Iowa (Cubs) allowed five hits and one run in 8 1/3 innings in a 5-1 victory over Tucson. The left-hander, who has had shorts stints with three major league teams, including the Angels, is 2-3 with a 3.40 earned-run average. . . . In his second appearance since signing with the Angels, right-hander Roland De La Maza (St. Genevieve) gave up one hit and one walk in two-thirds of an inning of relief, but did not allow a run for Vancouver in a loss to Las Vegas. De La Maza was released by the Kansas City Royals in spring training after posting a 9-6 record with a 5.36 ERA last season at triple-A Buffalo.
