Set Party to Raise Funds for Infant-Parent Development
The Center for Infant-Parent Development is throwing a New York-style block party Saturday on the street set of the TV sitcom “Caroline in the City.”
The party site, once a backdrop for “Seinfeld,” will set the scene for food, music and a silent auction to raise money for the Woodland Hills agency to move to a bigger Valley location.
“We want to stay in that area because we want to remain available to as much of the east and west Valley as possible,” said spokesman Effie Neff.
The festivities, scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m., will include set tours and street music provided by Cal State Northridge’s steel drum band.
“Seinfeld” memorabilia will be among the items at the auction.
The nonprofit community agency, founded in 1996, works with infants and toddlers with developmental problems, such as autism. The center, with a board that includes psychologists, preschool directors and teachers, parents and community members, is committed to reaching families with special needs.
The set is at CBS Studio Center, 4054 Radford Ave. Tickets are $45, or $75 per couple.
