He Might Just Be Vaughn in a Million
Thank you for the great article on an inspiring man, Mo Vaughn [May 7].
In this day and age of prima donna sports figures with multimillion-dollar contracts and endorsement deals, Mo’s continuing work with the inner-city children of Boston should serve as an example of how to do it right. The fact that he not only funds the Mo Vaughn Youth Development Center, but checks in almost daily, even after moving to Anaheim, is quite something. The line about “Vaughn’s desire to transform the lives of children, not simply talk to them” says it all.
This article should be required reading for all pro athletes.
