Victery Can’t Win for Lancaster

Three pitchers combined on a four-hitter and the host Lake Elsinore Storm defeated the Lancaster Jethawks, 9-2, in a California League game on Friday.

Lancaster (13-23) starter Joe Victery (0-3) lasted four innings, allowing eight runs and 11 hits.

Jeb Dougherty and Matt Curtis each had two hits for Lake Elsinore (17-18), which pulled into a tie for first with San Bernardino.

First baseman Greg Connors and third baseman Luis Figueroa of Lancaster extended hitting streaks to 12 games Thursday night in the JetHawks’ 6-2 victory over Lake Elsinore at the Diamond.
