The Woman’s Club will be donating funds to a number of charitable organizations that it is meeting with Wednesday, and the groups will talk about how they plan to spend the funds. Among those expected at the meeting are the Special Olympics, Coastline Community College and Haydn Orchestra. The club already has donated $6,700 to various groups this year through fund-raisers such as selling cookbooks and the Honor Our President luncheon.
The club is holding its regular business meeting at 10:30 a.m.; the contribution ceremony, open to the public, is expected to begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center, 707 Electric Ave. Information: Twyla Karkut, (562) 431-7290.
