VILLA PARK
A group of residents interested in saving the historic Villa Park Elementary School will be raising money for the project during the Villa Park Family Picnic on Sunday at Irvine Lake, 4621 Santiago Canyon Road. The Villa Park Elementary School Restoration Corp. will raffle off a Judy Smith Trasport lithograph of the city at its booth at 5:30 p.m. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the picnic and on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning in front of the Villa Park Pharmacy, 17821 Santiago Blvd. Tickets cost $1 for one, $5 for six and $10 for 12.
The group will also be selling the Game of Villa Park, a board game similar to Monopoly. The group will print the names of the first 30 residents who purchase a game before the board is printed; the price of the game hasn’t been set. During the picnic, the group will sell spots on the board game to 40 businesses that want their names printed on it. Information: (714) 997-9288.
