Occupational Center to Host Free Job Fair
The North Valley Occupational Center-Aviation Center will host a free job fair today that is open to the public.
Representatives from employers such as Bank of America, Los Angeles Municipal Court, Six Flags, the Los Angeles Police Department, and Eckharts Trailer Hitch and Welding will be recruiting on campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The center, which offers more than 50 vocational programs, was the first Los Angeles Unified School District school to sponsor a job fair with local employers.
The center, at 11540 Sharp Ave. (at Rinaldi Street) in Mission Hills, provides job training and high school diplomas through the GED program to the northwestern portion of Los Angeles County.
