Camp Planned for Asthmatic Children
Elementary school-aged children with chronic asthma can attend a free weeklong summer day camp especially designed for their needs.
Camp Wheez, sponsored annually by the American Lung Assn. of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, provides asthma education, physical development skills and arts and crafts projects. The staff, including medical professionals, is made up of volunteers from the community.
The camp will be held July 26-30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Ventura. For preregistration, call the American Lung Assn. at 963-1426.
