VILLA PARK

The Villa Park Women’s League plans to distribute $15,300 this month to a number of schools and nonprofit organizations. The group garnered $13,100 of the money earlier this month during its annual “Garden Jewels of Villa Park” garden tour fund-raiser. The league awarded scholarships to three graduating Villa Park seniors and money to all four of the city’s schools. The Villa Park library received money for children’s books and travel videos and books. Other groups that will receive money include the Villa Park Elementary School Restoration Committee, Celebration USA, Homework House and Rancho Santiago Community College. Working Wardrobe, a group that provides clothing to needy people entering the work force, is slated to receive funds that haven’t been collected yet.
