Cal State Fullerton (47-11) won its 10th regional baseball title in 21 attempts and its fifth of the 1990s at South Bend, Ind., with a 9-4 victory over Michigan (34-30).

Fullerton will play regular-season Big Ten champion Ohio State (49-12) in a super regional that begins Friday at a site that will be determined today. The Buckeyes won their regional at Columbus, Ohio with a 10-7 victory over Mississippi State.

Fullerton pulled ahead to stay against Michiga--the Big Ten tournament champio--on a two-run homer by designated hitter Aaron Rifkin in the sixth inning. The Titans scored three more runs in the seventh and one in the eighth and coasted in behind the relief pitching of Kirk Saarloos, who shut out the Wolverines on two hits in the final three innings.
