Cloyd George Patton, a retired foreman for a concrete company, died Tuesday at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. He was 76.

He was born March 28, 1923, in Oklahoma, where he grew up and attended school.

Patton enlisted in the Navy and became a Seabee who served in the Pacific during World War II. After the war, he married Mildred Monday and the couple made Ventura their home.

He worked for 16 years as a foreman at Associated Concrete Co.

His son, Otis Patton of Ventura, said his father liked to build model cars and airplanes, and to convert cars into hot rods.

Patton was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, daughter, Judy, and a son, Benny.

In addition to his son Otis, he is survived by sons Tom of Santa Paula, Marty of Ojai, Gene of Volcano, Calif., a brother in Chino, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday at Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura.
