Prior to the 2 p.m. service, a procession of fire trucks passed Ventura City Hall.

Andrews, 46, was an 18-year member of the Ventura Fire Department and president of the Ventura City Firefighters Assn., Local 3431.

He was born March 13, 1953, in Burbank and was a 1971 graduate of Ventura High School.

“He will be greatly missed,” said Ventura Fire Capt. Myles Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Andrews’ name to the Greg Andrews Memorial Fund, in care of the Ventura City Firefighters Assn., Local 3431.
