MISSION VIEJO
The Planning Commission is expected to flip the switch today and approve a plan to light up two additional ball fields at the Youth Athletic Park on Olympiad Road.
The city’s Recreation and Community Services Department has requested the additional lighting for the baseball and soccer fields to meet anticipated demand from local youth sports organizations.
The project will place 10 new light poles at the park. The poles will range from 70 to 90 feet high, and each pole will have four to 13 1,500-watt light fixtures.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 25909 Pala.
