THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* East Imperial Highway: A grand theft was reported in the 300 block at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday.

* Brea Mall: A petty theft was reported in the 2100 block at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 4:14 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 2500 block at 10:41 p.m. Monday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Ward Street: A driver’s-side airbag was stolen from a car at American Brake Supply in the 18300 block at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Sandra Place: Police arrested a man on suspicion of burglary in the 13100 block at 10:26 a.m. Monday. Police responding to the call were approaching the residence when they heard a loud crash at the rear of the home. The suspect tried to flee on foot but was captured by police.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Newland Street: A man’s insulin needles were stolen from his apartment in the 21800 block at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Laguna Hills Mall: A man and a woman were arrested after stealing $300 worth of clothing from a store at 5:50 p.m. Monday. The clothing was recovered.

LAKE FOREST

* Aspan Street and Birtcher Drive: At 11:50 p.m. Monday, deputies stopped a car for traffic violations. Deputies found a double-edged knife behind the driver’s seat after a weapons search.

* El Toro Road and Raymond Way: At 12:50 p.m. Monday, deputies noticed a car being driven with a flat tire and stopped the driver. The driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was arrested.

MISSION VIEJO

* Iris Avenue: A burglary occurred in the 27000 block at 1:05 p.m. Friday. The burglar entered through an unlocked window.

* Las Flores and Vallejo: Deputies stopped a vehicle at 12:30 a.m. Friday and arrested the man on an arrest warrant.

* Via Florecer: A stereo and computer were taken from a locked vehicle in the 25000 block at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

PLACENTIA

* Orangethorpe Avenue at Placentia Avenue: Report of shots fired at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Chapman Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 600 block at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday.

* South Kraemer Boulevard: A narcotics violation was reported in the 200 block at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Ridgecrest Drive: A burglary was reported in the 17000 block at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday.

* Savi Ranch Parkway: A robbery was reported in the 23000 block at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday.

* Via Lugo: A petty theft was reported in the 21000 block at 12:34 p.m. Monday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fullerton, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park and Westminster.
