Students to Head Weekend Food Drive

Nordhoff High School will hold a food drive this weekend and Nov. 20 and 21 to collect food from shoppers leaving two supermarkets in Ojai.

Some students will gather at the Starr Market at 131 W. Ojai Ave. from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Others will meet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Vons market at 1121 Maricopa Highway.

The students will also be collecting money to purchase turkeys and canned and other nonperishable foods.

All food collected will be given to families through the Community Assistance Program.
