Body Found Near Burned Car in Pacoima
Homicide detectives late Friday were investigating a body found near a burned-out car that firefighters had extinguished Monday.
The body was discovered at about 4 p.m. in tall grass between Paxton Street and the Foothill Freeway, said Sgt. William Wiley of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Los Angeles County Fire Supervisor Diana Aronson said firefighters extinguished a car fire there Monday night.
“It’s unknown if the body was there at the time,” Wiley said. “The only thing I can think of is the firemen may not have noticed the body in the tall grass.”
