Sage Software Appoints Schueler as Senior Manager
Debra Schueler has been named senior manager of Sage Software Inc.’s accountant alliance program. She will also head up the Irvine-based company’s reseller alliance program. Previously, Schueler was sales manager for Blytheco and account manager for the storage products group of Texas Instruments.
* David L. Guy has joined CMD Technology Inc. in Irvine as vice president, business development. Guy has more than 35 years of systems and storage experience with EMC, Storage Technology, Aspen Peripherals, Digital and, most recently, Compaq, where he was vice president of the storage OEM business. In addition, Thomas J. Reestman was named director of technical support and design assurance. He had been manager of technical support for ATL Products.
* Kendall Carre is the new director of marketing for Kaufman Meeks + Partners in Newport Beach. She was previously senior account executive for the Weston Group, a Los Angeles advertising agency. Carre was also with Homes for Sale magazine for six years, where she ran the production department and acted as editor-in-chief.
* Colin Ungaro has been named president of Freedom Magazines in Irvine. He succeeds Sam Wolgemuth, who became chief executive of Freedom Communications Inc. last month. Ungaro was also elected a vice president of Freedom Communications. He will be based in New York City.
* Denise Carroll has been named marketing coordinator for Taylor Woodrow Homes Inc. in Laguna Hills. Carroll joined the company in 1996 after spending two years in Russia as an instructor of business and English. She was also assistant account executive at TMP Worldwide in Garden Grove.
* Frank Kavanaugh has been appointed president of OhGolly.com Inc., a Huntington Beach Internet services company. Kavansaugh was formerly principal of Dubrow Kavanaugh Capital LLC, a merchant bank that invests in technology and manufacturing companies in Southern California. He also founded and served as president of QuickStart Technologies. In addition, Lee Mayer was named director of corporate sales, and Richard Houlihan will serve as chairman of the board. Before joining OhGolly.com, Mayer was national sales manager at ADT Inc. Houlihan has been a principal of Houlihan Valuation Advisors since 1986, and is a director of Houlihan Smith & Co., which is managing dealer of a private placement for OhGolly.com.
