BREA
The Brea Community Emergency Council will conduct its annual donation drive from Friday to Dec. 16. Residents can drop off dry goods, canned food, fruit juices and cash to the Brea Community Center, the Senior Center or any public school.
The council gives temporary assistance to needy families in Brea. The charity expects to help more than 200 families this year.
Residents also can donate their time. The council needs volunteers to pack boxes of food and gifts for its Community Christmas Basket Program.
For more information, call (714) 990-7150. To volunteer for the basket program, call Active Christians Today at (714) 529-6776.
