Glendale Centre Theatre’s 35th annual production of “A Christmas Carol” will open Friday. Charles Dickens’ 1843 classic tells the story of Scrooge, who undergoes a miraculous conversion on Christmas Eve after seeing the ghosts of Christmases past, present and future.

Decorative Art “The Spirit of Tiffany,” an exhibition of some of the finest works by the famed designing and retailing house of New York, will open Saturday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library near Simi Valley. Charles Lewis Tiffany, a jeweler and silversmith, opened his establishment in New York City in 1837 and soon became the foremost retailer of luxury items for America’s aristocracy.

Polished Pop Dawn Hummer and Don Connor will perform at the Coffee Junction in Tarzana. The two have been working together for more than 20 years, and it shows. They deliver polished performances of country-flavored originals and some well-chosen cover tunes.
