Regis Contractors Names Albert President

Bill Albert has been named president of Regis Contractors LP in Irvine, an affiliate of the Sares-Regis Group. Albert, who has been with Regis Contractors since 1995, had been senior vice president of residential construction.

* Edward R. McLaughlin Jr. has joined ColorMax Technologies Inc. as director of investor and public relations. McLaughlin has 13 years of experience in investment banking and securities, real estate acquisition and financing, and international project funding.

* Julie Dodd Thomas has joined Shorecliff Communications Inc. in San Juan Capistrano as vice president of business operations. She was formerly an executive director for Pacific Bell Video Services.

* Steve DeWulf has been named project manager for R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine. Before joining the company, DeWulf operated his own consulting business in San Diego.

* Michael D. Chermak has joined the board of directors of Physiciansite.com in Newport Beach. Chermak was co-founder and original chairman of medibuy.com in San Diego, and founder and chief executive of Healthdemographics Inc. He is currently a principal of RP Associates LLC in San Diego.

* Philip E. Strok has been elected to the board of directors of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum. He is an associate attorney with the Costa Mesa law firm of Albert, Weiland & Golden LLP.

* Carl Mount has been named vice president of manufacturing and purchasing for Diedrich Coffee Inc. in Irvine. Mount was formerly plant manager for the Pepsi Bottling Group’s San Francisco Bay manufacturing facility. He will be based at Diedrich’s Castroville facility.

* Linda Krasner has been appointed director of corporate development for O’Neil Relocation in Garden Grove, an agent of United Van Lines. She was previously district supervisor for PHH Homequity, director of corporate development for Re/Max International and senior vice president for CRS Temporary Housing.

* Jeff Booth, a former pro surfer, has been named surf specialty sales coordinator for Quiksilver Inc. in Huntington Beach. Booth had been with Oakley Inc. as a sales representative in Southern California after retiring from the tour in 1997.

* Bill Cappiello is the new president and chief executive of SportsHabitat.com. in Lake Forest. Cappiello had been president and chief executive of Brick and Mortar Retail.com. Before that, he was with the Sports Authority and R.H. Macy & Co. Inc.

* Kathryn Smith has joined Real Estate Temps in San Clemente as director of escrow coordination services. During Smith’s 22 years in home building and land development, her positions have included director of sales and escrow administration for Osborne Development Corp. and director of marketing for Southwest Communities Inc. in Las Vegas.

* BJ Morrison McKay has been named director of group sales for the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort in Dana Point. She joined the Marriott from the Karro Group, where she was vice president of business development. Before that, McKay was director of insurance sales for the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad.
