Ballet Receives $10,000 for Youth Program

* Channel Islands Ballet received a $10,000 grant from the Wood-Claeyssens Foundation in support of its Arts for Youth program. The program offers theater and classroom events designed to educate and expand appreciation of the performing arts, history and cultural diversity through dance.

Museum Wins Grants to Boost Diversity

* Carnegie Art Museum Cornerstones, a nonprofit auxiliary, announced it received two grants totaling $18,000. The money will be used to support the museum education department’s “Partnering in the Arts” program, which aims to “build partnerships with educational institutions to better serve students of all ages and of greater diversity.” The grants were provided by the Bank of America Foundation, $5,000; Haas Automation, $13,000, and administered by the Ventura County Community Foundation.
