Dole Hires Executive From Universal Studios

Kenneth J. Kay is joining Dole Food Co. Inc. as its vice president and chief financial officer.

Kay comes to Dole from Universal Studios, where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Consumer Products Group. Kay has also held CFO positions at Playmates Inc. and Ameron International.

Kay “comes to Dole with excellent international financial and accounting experience,” said David H. Murdock, chairman and chief executive. “His background and expertise will make a significant contribution to Dole’s expanding global presence.”

Dole, with 1998 revenues of $4.4 billion, is the world’s largest producer and marketer of fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers, and it markets a growing line of packaged foods.
