Offensive Line Finally in Place

Share

It’s another new look for the UCLA offensive line.

Whole.

For the first time, after weeks of suspension and injury, the Bruins probably will have their desired line in place Saturday at Arizona State, five games into the season: Mike Saffer, scheduled to return after sitting out two games because of a sprained ankle, and Oscar Cabrera at guard, Brian Polak and Blake Worley at tackle and Troy Danoff at center.

On the other hand . . .

Tony White, a starting outside linebacker, has pneumonia and is questionable. And tailback DeShaun Foster went through the light workout Thursday, but still appears headed for a limited role against the Sun Devils.

“We won’t play him early, if at all,” Coach Bob Toledo said.

Asi Faoa, a starter at linebacker in the season opener before falling to third string, will be out for his second consecutive game because of a lower back sprain.
