* Records--Galaxy 19-11 (51 points), Burn 17-13 (45 points).

* Record vs. Burn--2-1.

* Update--Both teams are assured playoff berths, with Dallas retaining a slim hope of winning the Western Conference title. To accomplish that, the Burn would have to beat the Galaxy today and win its finale against Tampa Bay while the Galaxy and Colorado lose their remaining games. The Burn has won its last three games, is 6-1 in its last seven and is 12-3 at home. With forward Jason Kreis leading the attack, Dallas already has produced club records for victories (17) and points (45) in a season. With one more assist, Kreis will become the first player in MLS history to record 15 goals and 15 assists in a season. Dallas is 5-0 in its last five matches against Western Conference opponents, but the Galaxy is its nemesis. The Galaxy leads the all-time regular-season series, 10-5, outscoring the Burn, 34-19, in the process. The Galaxy scored an MLS-record eight goals in an 8-1 victory over the Burn on June 4, 1998.
