The Los Alamitos Medical Center will give free hepatitis B shots to children Oct. 16.
State legislators passed a law this year requiring children entering kindergarten be immunized against the disease.
Vaccinations for mumps, measles and rubella, also required for school attendance, will be given as well. An appointment is necessary. Information: (562) 598-1311.
