Police Chief Vincent J. Giampa appointed Eric Nunez as the new manager of the Community Policing and Administrative Division, replacing Mark Yokoyama, who is leaving the city. Nunez will be responsible for community policing, managing the anti-drug program DARE, the senior volunteer program and various other programs, Yokoyama said.
Nunez will begin his new duties Monday when Yokoyama leaves for a position at the Police Department in Newark, near San Francisco.
