Roger Harvey said he and his wife often stayed in British Columbia where they owned a cabin. They enjoyed fishing and exploring inland waterways with their boat, meandering to places that very few people see. At their cabin, Helen Louise Harvey had a garden and enjoyed working in it. While in Canada, she and her husband also played golf with their friends.

She was a member of the Santa Paula Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Santa Clara Valley Hospice and the Evergreen Seniors in Courtney, British Columbia.

Harvey is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger; daughter Katie Everett of Santa Paula, Betsy Pedrini of Arroyo Grande; stepchildren Mike Harvey of Santa Paula and Marilyn Nollan of Ventura; sister Evelyn Stewart of Santa Paula; brother Robert Le Schofs of Hesperia; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at the Santa Paula Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chuck Laird officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Santa Clara Valley Hospice or to the Santa Paula Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Pierce Bros. Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula.
