Airmen Accused of Killing 8th Cow
Two Navy airmen charged with killing seven pregnant cows in western Nevada face an additional charge after another cow was found dead in Churchill County.
Joshua Osinski, 23, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Alan Peters, 21, of Coos Bay, Ore., were arrested Sept. 22 on seven felony counts of grand larceny.
An additional charge was filed against them after an eighth cow was found shot dead. Both men remain jailed on $35,000 bail.
Churchill County Sheriff Bill Lawry said the two admitted they “shot some moos.”
The two airmen are based at Lemoore, Calif. They had been training at Fallon Naval Air Station and were arrested on the Fallon base for the shootings of the cows southwest of town.
The cows were shot multiple times near Sheckler Reservoir.
