The Locals
UCLA (2-3, 0-2)
vs. Oregon (3-2, 1-1)
* Kickoff: 7:15 p.m. Saturday at the Rose Bowl, Fox Sports West.
* Story line: UCLA will try to get out of the Pacific 10 cellar as the only 0-2 team in the conference. Oregon remains in the Rose Bowl hunt as part of the five-way tie for third place. Because Arizona State and California have nonleague matchups and Stanford is idle, this is one of only three games today that could have an impact on the Jan. 1 representative in Pasadena.
* UCLA update: The Bruins are in danger of falling to 0-3 in the conference for the first time since 1994, when they went from 2-0 overall and ranked 13th in the country to a six-game losing streak and an eventual 5-6 finish.
* Oregon update: The Ducks have a six-game road losing streak, a run that started with the overtime roller-coaster ride 51 weeks ago at the Rose Bowl. The visit to Pasadena comes this time as part of three consecutive games away from Autzen Stadium, starting with the loss at Washington and concluding in two weeks at Arizona.
* Edge to UCLA: Quarterback A.J. Feeley, the successor to Akili Smith, is dangerous, but the loss of its two top runners is too much for Oregon to overcome.
* Line: UCLA by 3 1/2.
