Army Wins in Overtime, 59-52
Quarterback Joe Gerena scored on a seven-yard run in the second overtime, and Michael Wallace rushed for a school-record 269 yards and four touchdowns as Army defeated Louisville, 59-52, in a Conference USA game at West Point, N.Y., Thursday night.
After Gerena scored in the second overtime, Louisville (3-3, 0-1 in conference) got a first down at the 12, but Chris Redman threw an incomplete pass on fourth and 7.
Wallace, who carried 19 times, scored all of his touchdowns in the first half as Army (2-3, 1-2) built a 45-17 lead.
Army had 564 yards, while Louisville had 489.
No. 18 Syracuse 24, Pittsburgh 17--Troy Nunes threw three touchdown passes in the first half, one a desperation heave on a botched field-goal attempt, for the Orangemen (5-1, 2-0 in the Big East) at Pittsburgh (3-2, 1-1).
