YOU GO, GIRL

Every woman knows the public bathroom drill: “Are you waiting?” She nods. Rolls eyes. Shifts from foot to foot and curses the cheap white pumps lingering in the stall.

But at the Staples Center, expect no such fury. Get this, gals: There are more stalls for women than men. That’s right--273 toilets for her versus 246 toilets and urinals for him. That’s more than four times as many stalls for women as at the Forum, where the plumbing can accommodate 66 women and 98 men at once. The Sports Arena can handle 56 women and 102 men at any moment.

Also look for the three family loos at the Staples Center, each complete with changing areas for wee sports fans.

“Hopefully, those impatient husbands won’t have to ask, ‘What took you so long?’ ” says Bernadette Leiweke, wife of Staples Center president Tim Leiweke. It was the missus, in fact, who suggested that arena execs increase the number of ladies’ lavatories.

And fear not those dreaded “Not in Service” signs. Just a week before opening, all the toilets will be flushed simultaneously to ensure trusty plumbing.
